NCIS: Los Angeles is an American television spinoff of NCIS. The series stars Chris O'Donnell and L.L. Cool J as NCIS agents who are part of the agency's Office of Special Projects that is based in the city of Los Angeles. The majority of the characters in the series were introduced during Season 6 of NCIS in a two-part episode titled "Legend, Parts I & II". The series premiered in North America in September of 2009.
