The Smith & Wesson 6906 is the main sidearm of Det. Cassie Mayweather (Sandra Bullock).

The gun is most likely a S&W model 3913. When she grips the gun her hand wraps around it fully,it looks like a single stack frame.In the second picture you can see that there is no step in the frame as there would be on a 6906,also there is no step where the beaver tail meets the web of her hand.

Cassie fires her sidearm without flinching. The actress noticeably uses an excellent grip and fires without flinching, which is likely the by-product of either training on-set, or she may own a weapon in real life, but this is unconfirmed.

Both Richard Haywood (Ryan Gosling) and Justin Pendleton (Michael Pitt) are seen using the Smith & Wesson Model 36. Haywood is also seen holding a nickel plated S&W.
