Release Date: 2014
Developer: Gameloft
Publisher: Gameloft
Platforms: PC/iOS/Android/Switch
Genre: First Person Shooter

Modern Combat 5 is a first-person shooter for iOS, Android, PC and Switch. While most versions are freemium, the Switch version is paid with microtransaction elements removed and re-balanced.

The following weapons appear in Modern Combat 5

Pistols

Beretta 90Two

The Beretta 90Two appears as the "MEK R3" Handgun.

Beretta 90Two Type F - 9x19mm
The "MEK R3" in-game.

SIG-Sauer P226R

The SIG-Sauer P226R appears as the default handgun. It is called the "MSG 33" in-game.

SIG-Sauer P226R - 9x19mm.
The in-game handgun.

VBR-Belgium PDW

The VBR-Belgium PDW appears as the "LUKS-MK2" machine pistol, despite this however, the weapon fires at a slower rate than all of the other pistols featured in game (including the Desert Eagle, for shame!).

VBR-Belgium PDW - 7.92x24mm

Luger P08

A highly "futuristic" styled Luger P08 appears as the "Mrager".

Luger P08 - 9x19mm
The "Mrager".

Desert Eagle

The Desert Eagle appears as the "HAWK-13". It is the most common handgun equipped by single-player AI in Last Stand.

IMI Desert Eagle Mark I - .357 Magnum
The "HAWK-13" in-game. Given the game's stylized weapon models, it does not particularly resemble any specific variant of the Desert Eagle. It has the slide release of the Mark I paired with the safety switch of later models (with safety/fire positions apparently reversed).

Submachine Guns

SR-2 Veresk

The SR-2M Veresk appears as the "Sabre-S2" and is the default submachine gun.

SR-2M - 9x21mm Gyurza
The "Sabre-S2" In-game.

TDI Vector

The TDI Vector appears as the "KRUBE-37".

KRISS USA Vector Gen II - .45 ACP

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 with a railed system and threaded barrel appears as the "JOLT-7 MP".

Heckler & Koch MP5-N with Navy trigger group, threaded muzzle, railed handguard, RIS foregrip, and M68 Aimpoint red dot scope - 9x19mm

SIG-Sauer MPX-K

The prototype version of the SIG-Sauer MPX-K appears as the "FERS09". It is the 2013 prototype, as evidenced by the number of diagonal vents on the upper receiver. It also has the stock adapter of the 2013 version; however, the stock itself and the handguard are those of the 2012 prototype.

SIG-Sauer MPX-K, 2013 prototype - 9x19mm
SIG-Sauer MPX-K, 2012 prototype - 9x19mm

FN P90TR

The FN P90TR (Triple Rail) appears with a deformed foregrip and is called the "FS 80".

FN P90TR - 5.7x28mm
The "FS 80" in-game.

Heckler & Koch MP7A1

The Heckler & Koch MP7A1 appears as the "BOSK 3".

Heckler & Koch MP7 - 4.6x30mm
The MP7 in the loadout menu. It lacks the folding foregrip, with the space being replaced by a rail. The model also seems a bit too long.

"Bramson"

The "Bramson" appears to be a futuristic version of the M1928A1 Thompson.

Shotguns

Pancor Jackhammer

The Jackhammer appears as the "SERING 9", redesigned to have the magazine at the front of the weapon.

Pancor Jackhammer Mk3-A2 mockup
The "SERING 9" in-game.

Fostech Origin-12 with 9.75" barrel - 12 gauge

Assault Rifles

M4A1

An M4A1 appears as the default assault rifle and is known as "COMPAKT-665". The receiver markings say that it is chambered in "6mm", despite using standard 30-round 5.56mm magazines.

Colt M4A1 with 6 position collapsible stock - 5.56x45mm
The "COMPAKT-665" in-game. Similar to the M4A1 seen in Homefront: The Revolution, it has an oddly undersized carry handle that apparently can't reach the end of the upper receiver.

Heckler & Koch G36C

The H&K G36C is one of the assault rifles available. It is called the "UFIA PSD-2" in-game.

Heckler & Koch G36C - 5.56x45mm NATO
The G36C in-game. Note the fire selector lacks positions for the safety and burst fire function.

AK-Type Rifle

A heavily stylized AK-type rifle appears as the "KR-200".

Photoshopped AKM fitted with Tapco Intrafuse and T6 furniture sets and an M4 buttstock and Stock Adapter, to look like the weapon in Modern Warfare 2 - 7.62x39mm

Grenade and Rocket Launchers

To note here, all launchers in this game are classified as "rocket launchers", despite at least 3 of them being grenade launchers.

Brügger & Thomet GL-06

A stylized Brügger & Thomet GL-06 appears as the game's default grenade launcher, under the name "S-41 GL". It is pathetically weak, with single-player NPCs often surviving a direct grenade hit.

Brügger & Thomet GL-06 - 40x46mm
The "S-41 GL" in-game.

Heckler & Koch XM-25

The Heckler & Koch XM25 is a useable launcher, appearing as the "ZAB 1507".

The "ZAB 1507" in-game.
