McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971)

McCabe & Mrs. Miller is a 1971 "Anti-Western" film directed by Robert Altman and starring Warren Beatty as John McCabe, a mysterious gambler who partners with Constance Miller (Julie Christie), a British woman to establish a high-end brothel in a small mining town and subsequently runs into trouble with the mining company. The film was dubbed an anti-Western due to its subversion of the usual conventions of the Western film genre.

Gasser Montenegrin

John McCabe (Warren Beatty) carries as his sidearm a Gasser 2nd Model Montenegrin. In the beginning of the movie, when McCabe first arrives and is thought to be an infamous gunfighter, the minor characters incorrectly mention his gun as being some sort of fancy Swedish revolver, when it is in fact Austrian-designed for the Balkan market, and frequently made in Belgium.

Iver Johnson Eclipse Derringer

McCabe also carries what is called a Derringer. While not seen clearly, the pistol appears to have a single barrel, like that of an Iver Johnson Eclipse Derringer.

12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun

McCabe carries a large 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun during the beginning of the final "chase" in the movie, though it is claimed by the preacher and McCabe doesn't press the issue.

In the film, there are two characters are specifically known to be carrying Colt Single Action Army revolvers, as shown in the memorable scene on the bridge. Kid (Manfred Schulz) picks on Cowboy (Keith Carradine) and forces him to "draw," asking if he can see his Colt to see if there's something wrong with it.
