Major Dundee is a 1965 action film set during the time of the Civil War and directed by Sam Peckinpah. The cast included Charlton Heston, Richard Harris, Jim Hutton, and James Coburn.

Major Amos Charles Dundee (Charlton Heston) and Capt. Benjamin Tyreen (Richard Harris) use Richards Cartridge Conversion Revolvers.
Also the bugler Tim Ryan (Michael Anderson Jr.) at nights shootout drew this weapon from the holster.
Remington New Army (mocked up Single Action Army)
Sgt. Gomez and Sgt. Chillum are seen carrying what are supposed to be Remington New Army revolvers. In reality, these revolvers appear to be Colt Single Action Army revolvers with a mock cylinder rod added to resemble the Civil War era handgun. (The Colt SAA did not enter service until 1873). Similar mockups were seen in such films as John Wayne's Rio Lobo and The Horse Soldiers.
The French commander captain Jacques Tremaine (Albert Carrier) shoots at Dundee´s men who tried to break through over the border´s river.
