Major "Whirlwind" (Mayor "Vikhr") is a Soviet 1967 B&W war mini series directed by Evgeniy Tashkov and based on the novel by Yulian Semyonov. In 1944 a Soviet special group under the command of Major "Vikhr" ("Whirlwind") is sent to Nazi occupied Krakow. Together with Polish resistance they must prevent the destruction of the city, planned by SS high command.

Luger P08

Luger P08 pistols are used by Soviet agents "Vikhr" (Vadim Beroev), Anya (Anastasiya Voznesenskaya), Kolya (Viktor Pavlov), Polish resistance fighters and German officers.

SS Sturmbannfuhrer Gunther Fischer (Oleg Golubitsky) holds a Luger.

Walther P38

"Vikhr" (Vadim Beroev), Anya (Anastasiya Voznesenskaya) and Polish resistance fighter Józef (Aleksandr Shirvindt) use Walther P38 pistols. Due to a continuity error, in the final scene Anya's P38 switches to a P08.

"Vikhr" reloads his pistol. He inserts the magazine with the edge of his palm - spectacular, but unprofessional.
He continues firing.
Józef's pistol appears to be unloaded (the slide in rear position) but the character continues "firing".
