A revolutionary sniper named Anthony (Ron J. Anderson) opens fire on Joel's group in "Endure and Survive" (S1E05) with what appears to be a Pre-1964 Model 70 with wooden stock. After eliminating the sniper, Joel takes the rifle and uses it during the battle with the infected. He continues to carry the rifle in "Kin" (S1E06), and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) picks up the rifle while standing guard at night. Upon arriving at Jackson community, Maria (Rutina Wesley) takes the rifle.
