Portuguese Kropatschek Model 1886 - 8x60mmR

Kropatschek Rifles are battle rifles of 1870s - 1880s, designed by Austo-Hungarian weapon designer Alfred von Kropatschek. They were adopted by Austo-Hungarian Army and Navy (M1881 Gendarmery carbine and M1893 Naval rifle in 11mm caliber), French Army (Mle 1878 Marine rifle and Mle 1884 and 1885 Infantry rifles in 11mm caliber), and Portuguese Army (numerous Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery rifles and carbines in 8x60mm caliber). During the Second Boor War Boors purchased rifles from Portugal, and during the Great War Russian Imperial Army purchased a number of Kropatscheks in France (due to using the same cartridge as Gras Mle 1874 rifles, these guns were known as Gras-Kropatscheks).
