Johnny Handsome is a 1989 action film starring Mickey Rourke as John, a criminal with a disfigured face who is double-crossed during a robbery and sent to prison. The film was directed by Walter Hill and the cast included Lance Henriksen, Ellen Barkin and Morgan Freeman. Johnny Handsome also was one of the first films to feature the Glock 17 pistol.

The following weapons were used in the film Johnny Handsome:

Pistols

Beretta 92F

In preparation for the shipyard heist. John Sedley (Mickey Rourke) purchases a Beretta 92F and Glock 17 from a gun dealer. Larry (J.W. Smith) is also seen with what appears to be one towards the end of the film.

The third season of Miami Vice appears to be the very first media appearance of the Glock.
