The Hunted (2003)

The Hunted was a 2003 action thriller directed by William Friedkin starring Benicio Del Toro as covert operative who can't stop killing and must be stopped by his former mentor (Tommy Lee Jones). The movie finished primary filming in the first half of 2001, however the events of 9/11 delayed the release of many 'military' or 'terrorism' themed motion pictures until the public sentiment was deemed ready. The film was scheduled for release in 2002 but its release date was pushed out to March 2003.

Standard AKMs are used by the Serbian Soldiers.

What appears to be standard AK-47s or Type 56 rifles are also used. They are identified by their wider front sight, flat sided front foregrip and downward slope of their buttstocks - 7.62x39mm

RPD Light Machine Gun

One of the Serbian Soldiers is seen using an RPD Light Machine Gun - 7.62x39mm

AKMSU

Serbian soldiers use AKMSU short assault rifles to massacre Albanian villagers during the Kosovo Battle. They should be using Crvena Zastava M92s which is the Yugo AKMSU, however, these appear to be armorer build ups using Krinkov parts. The movie weapons would be identical to AK74U Krinkovs if it weren't for the 7.62x39mm magazines.

AKMSU Krinkov - 7.62x39mm. This is a full auto transferable AKM (7.62x39mm) pistol that was converted into a Krinkov via parts kit.

Yugoslavian SKS M59/66 rifle with blade bayonet and grenade launcher attached to barrel, the variant most seen during the Balkan Wars - 7.62x39mm. The Yugoslavian M59 is nearly identical to the Russian SKS, it is the M59/66 which has the grenade launcher attachment at the end of the barrel.

SAKO 85 Hunter - long Mauser Action. Since the model 85 Hunter debuted in 2006, the Rifle is probably the Model 75 hunter which is very similar.

Unknown Sniper Rifle

Used by Portland SWAT to snipe at Hallam on the bridge.

A police sniper uses a synthetic stocked heavy barreled rifle, however, the bolt and bolt handle appear to be chromed, which would be an unusual choice for a tactical weapon.
