House of Games (1987)

House of Games is the 1987 heist thriller that marked the feature film directorial debut of playwright and screenwriter David Mamet, who also wrote the screenplay. The film stars Lindsay Crouse as Dr. Margaret Ford, a successful psychiatrist and author who finds herself getting involved in a confidence scheme as research for a new book. The cast includes frequent Mamet collaborators Joe Mantegna and Ricky Jay.
