The Hotchkiss M1922 light machine gun was manufactured by the French arms company of Hotchkiss. It was a gas operated, automatic-only weapon, which fires from an open bolt. There were two different types of feed available for Hotchkiss M1922 LMG - strip feed and magazine feed. This machine gun was chambered in a wide range of calibres. Such as 7x57mm Mauser, 7.92x57mm Mauser, 6.5×54mm Mannlicher-Schonauer, 7.7x56mmR (.303 British), 7.5x54mm French etc. Hotchkiss M1922 also could be used from a light infantry-type tripod.
