Hannibal was a television psychological crime series created by Bryan Fuller (one of the co-executive producers of Heroes) and was based on the characters introduced in the Thomas Harris novel Red Dragon, which had been previously adapted into the 2002 film of the same name) as well as the 1986 Michael Mann-directed film Manhunter.
