The Gypsy (Le gitan) is a 1975 French crime drama directed by José Giovanni and starring Alain Delon as a criminal Hugo Sennart aka "The Gypsy".

Revolvers

Mle 1892 Revolver

During the bank robbery The Gypsy (Alain Delon) takes an Mle 1892 Revolver from a guard.

Nagant M1895

In the same scene another guard carries a Nagant M1895 revolver. The shape of the front sight matches the original Belgian version of Nagant revolver.

Smith & Wesson Model 36

Comissioneer Blot's (Marcel Bozzuffi) personal handgun is a Smith & Wesson Model 36. In one scene he is disarmed by The Gypsy (Alain Delon).

Unidentified revolvers

Most police detectives, including Inspector Mareuil (Bernard Giraudeau), carry snub nose revolvers. They are seen only in distance or partially.

Browning Hi-Power

Throughout most of the movie The Gypsy (Alain Delon) carries a Browning Hi-Power. Hi-Power pistols are also used by The Gypsy's partners Jo Amila (Renato Salvatori) and Jacques Helman (Maurice Barrier) and by Rinaldi Brothers' henchman during the shootout in Rinaldi's bar.

An unknown version of Hi-Power is seen in hands of Jo Amila (Renato Salvatori) during the bank robbery. It has a raised rear sight like Inglis Hi-Power but different in shape. Same pistol is used by The Gypsy during the shootout in Rinaldi's bar.

Beretta M1951

The Gypsy (Alain Delon) uses a Beretta M1951 pistol in several scenes in the final part of the movie.

MAC Mle 1950

MAC Mle 1950 pistols are seen in hands of policemen and security guards. During the robbery of the armoured van The Gypsy (Alain Delon) and Jacques Helman (Maurice Barrier) take pistols from guards.

During the shootout in Rinaldi's bar Jo Amila (Renato Salvatori) uses an M1911A1-style pistol. It can be the same Star that Jo used during the car chase but this pistol seems to have a shorter barrel.

A nickel plated Vis wz. 35 is Jacques Helman's (Maurice Barrier) gun.

In one scene a safe cracker Yan Kuq (Paul Meurisse) holds a Walther P38. Then he gives it to Ninie (Annie Girardot) who quickly hids the pistol. P38s are also used by police.

Jacques Helman (Maurice Barrier) uses a Sterling SMG in several scenes.
