Loveless, jobless, possibly terminally ill, Frank ([[Joel Murray]]) has had enough of the downward spiral of America. With nothing left to lose, Frank takes his gun and offs the stupidest, cruelest, and most repellent members of society. He finds an unusual accomplice: 16-year-old Roxy([[Tara Lynne Barr]]), who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement.

The gun dealer sells Frank a Chinese [[Norinco MAK-90]] Kalashnikov variant with a stamped receiver that was apparently converted to fire in fully automatic mode, as the MAK-90 was a semi-automatic civilian sporting rifle. The thumbhole stock was replaced by an aftermarket pistol grip (of the original AK-pattern) and to the rear tang was attached a wooden block (with ring for gun belt). One can still see the 'ground down' bottom of the front sight, which was mandated by ATF when it approved the MAK-90 for import. Frank and Roxy use this during the finale. It is worth noting that, it seems, two different rifles in the same configuration were used, since they are slightly different from each other.

Rifles

Modified MAK-90

The gun dealer sells Frank a Chinese Norinco MAK-90 Kalashnikov variant with a stamped receiver that was apparently converted to fire in fully automatic mode, as the MAK-90 was a semi-automatic civilian sporting rifle.

This appears to be an another rifle - note that the rear block is a more short black plastic (or has been painted black), and the more scratched foregrip.
