The following guns were used in the anime series Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex:

PLEASE NOTE: Although the title is commonly given a colon, the correct title of this series is "Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex", without a colon. Please correct any links that appear incorrectly.

Seburo weaponry

Numerous fictional Seburo firearms are used as primary and secondary weapons by many of the protagonists throughout the series.

Browning HP DAO

Batou carries and uses a FN/Browning HP DAO in .45ACP throughout the series. The exact make and model is never specified, but it has the characteristic recurved trigger guard of the DAO series, although it has unique grips unlike any existing model. However, being .45ACP calibre, it is unlikely to be intended to be an original FN or Browning. It also appears to use a double-stack magazine, unlike current .45 Hi-Powers such as the ones made by FEG.

Mateba M2008

Togusa carries a fictional M2008 throughout the series, which quite closely resembles the real Mateba model 6 Unica revolver, a semiautomatic revolver with uses the recoil of firing to revolve the cylinder and cock the hammer. The most visible difference from the Unica-6 is the ventilated rib, which the 2006M lacks, although the grip is also different. Togusa's weapon is chambered in .357 Magnum.

Mechem NTW-20

Saito uses a large-calibre anti-materiel rifle referred to as a Mechem NTW-20mm while attempting to stop the runaway HAW-303 tank in episode 2. While this is not a real Mechem NTW-20, most obviously in that it needs to be riveted down, also in that it feeds from a top loaded magazine rather than from the side and mounts optics in a different place, it shares many basic characteristics with the real gun.

Beretta tomcat

Marshall MacLachlan produces a stainless steel Beretta Tomcat when cornered in episode 3.

Smith & Wesson model 37 Airweight

The Laughing Man uses a S&W 37 in his abduction of Ernest Serano on live TV in episode 4.

Steyr MPi69

The giant thug guarding Gondo and Marcelo Jarti in episode 7 uses a Steyr MPi69 to fire on police coming to arrest them. It could be an MPi81, as the cocking handle/sling mount is not visible.

Fn Minimi

In the episode "Jungle Cruise" (episode 10), Batou is seen in a flashback to his time in Vietnam during World War III using an FN Minimi.

Heckler & Koch MP7

Many of the Human Evolutionist terrorists defending the oil rig against Section 9 in episode 13 use MP7s of unknown subtype.

Glock 33AV (AdVance)

A firing range scene in episode ?15 depicts Batou evaluating the G33 AV (a fictional variant) which features a slightly lengthened barrel housed inside a compensator/barrel weight with an accessory rail, and an extended magazine well in order to comfortably accept full size G31 magazines. This is in fact a product placement tie-in with airsoft manufacturer Tokyo Marui, promoting their then-new G26AV model, which externally appears identical. Promotional material depicting this scene was produced by Tokyo Marui.

Beretta Cougar

The elder of the two robbers raiding the London wine fund in episode 17 carries a Beretta Cougar of unknown caliber.

The other wine fund robber is armed with a 7.65mm Skorpion.

Narcotics Suppression Squad (NSS) members raiding the Sunflower Society cyberbrain sclerosis support group in episode 20 carry H&K MP5s of unknown subtype, with fully automatic fire capabilities and fitted with integrated tactical light foregrips, short magazines and no shoulder stock.

GE M134 Minigun

Batou fields a man-portable GE M134 Minigun to slow down the incursion of Umibozu troops into Section 9's headquarters in episode 24. The Tachikoma robots are also fitted with compact Miniguns which can be swapped out for a missile launcher.

Mateba 2006M

As a tribute to the 1995 Ghost in the Shell film, Togusa retrieves this Mateba, which is almost identical to the model shown in that film (although this version is approximately 1" shorter) from a box in his house in episode 26, planning to use it to assassinate a high-ranking corrupt government official, but is stopped by Batou before he can use it.
