Gang (Le Gang), The
The Gang (Le Gang) is a 1977 French crime movie directed by Jacques Deray and starring Alain Delon as the criminal Robert called "Le dingue" ("The crazy"). The movie is based on the memoirs of former police inspector Roger Borniche (another movie, based on Borniche's memoirs, is Flic Story, where Delon appeared as Borniche himself).
The following weapons are seen in the movie The Gang:
Smith & Wesson Military & Police
Manu (Adalberto Maria Merli) is armed with Smith & Wesson Military & Police revolver in several scenes.
During the robbery of jewelry store jeweler's wife appears with a small caliber pocket revolver.
Robert's (Alain Delon) favored weapon is M1911A1. He uses this pistol in most scenes.
In one scene Robert (Alain Delon) is armed with Walther P38.
In one scene Robert (Alain Delon) is armed with Walther PPK.
Lucien's (Maurice Barrier) favored weapon is Luger P08 pistol.
MAB Model D
A gendarme on the railway station is seen with pistol that most likely is MAB Model D. Most of police inspectors in the scene of the police raid are also armed with MAB pistols.
In the scene on the railway station Jo (Xavier Depraz), disguised as gendarme, is armed with a pistol that is seen very briefly and is hard to be identified. It can be MAB Model D too but not for sure.
Sten Mk II
Robert (Alain Delon) and several of his companions, including Raymond (Roland Bertin) and Manu (Adalberto Maria Merli), use Sten Mk II submachine guns during the robberies. Jo (Xavier Depraz) is armed with Sten during the police raid.
Gendarmes with MAS-38 submachine guns are seen in many scenes. Robert (Alain Delon) use MAS-38 to break out from police commissariat and later in the shootout with police.
Manu (Adalberto Maria Merli) shoots MP40 during the police raid. Later Robert (Alain Delon) is armed with this SMG during the bank robbery.
Bertier Mle 1916 Carbine
Some of gendarmes are armed with Bertier Mle 1916 Carbines rifles during the raid. Though these guns seems outdated for 1950s, they were really used by French "Compagnies Republicaines de Securite" law enforcement units until the 1960s.
Berthier Model 1902 Rifle
Some of gendarmes are armed with Berthier Model 1902 rifles during the raid.
