A .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol bearing a strong resemblance to the [[FN Model 1910]] with an open trigger guard appears as the standard sidearm of Amestrian soldiers & Military Police throughout the series, typically carried in crossdraw hip holsters. Lt. Riza Hawkeye often carries two of these (one with a stainless steel finish), and is frighteningly accurate with them. In one episode, Lt. Gene Havoc uses one to fend of an attack by the soulless body of Barry the Chopper, but has the weapon stovepipe on him. In another episode, Winry Rockbelle picks up one of these from a slain MP and holds it on Scar when she discovers that Scar was the one who killed her parents while they were treating wounded Ishvalans during the war. After several tense moments however she discards the weapon, unable to bring herself to fire. When 2nd Lt. Ross is questioned about the murder of Maes Hughes, the officer conducting the questioning mentions that the pistol uses .45 caliber ammunition.

FN Model 1910

A .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol bearing a strong resemblance to the FN Model 1910 with an open trigger guard appears as the standard sidearm of Amestrian soldiers & Military Police throughout the series, typically carried in crossdraw hip holsters.
