Fiend Without a Face is an American/British co-production, based on a short story called "The Thought Monster." Set in Manitoba, Canada, near a United States Air Force base where the Air Force is conducting experiments involving atomic-powered long range radar, the plot concerns a misguided scientist accidentally unleashing a horde of brain-eating monsters (which themselves resemble crawling human brains).

The following guns were used in Fiend Without a Face.

Fiend Without a Face (1958)

M1903 Springfield

The US Air Force MP's are armed with M1903 Springfield rifles.

M1903 Springfield .30-06
An MP (Sheldon Allan) stands guard with his M1903 Springfield at the perimeter fence of the airbase.
The MP ventures into the surrounding forest to investigate a mysterious noise.
The MP stops upon hearing a man scream somewhere.

Colt M1911A1

The US Air Force officers all use M1911 pistols as their sidearms.

World War 2 issued Colt M1911A1 Pistol - .45 ACP
Colonel Butler (Stanley Maxted) holds his M1911 at the ready as the fiends come in through the window.
Butler fires at a fiend.
Closeup of Butler's M1911.
Captain Al Chester (Terry Kilburn) raises his M1911 up to take aim as he prepares to shoot one of the fiends.
Major Jeff Cummings (Marshall Thompson) shoots at a fiend in the airbase's reactor room.

Rifles & Shotguns

In one scene, the locals arm themselves up with rifles and shotguns to go out and search the woods.

The man third from the right in the plaid jacket holding the car door open is holding a rifle, as is the man farthest left.
Constable Howard Gibbons (Robert MacKenzie) pulls out what appears to be a carbine of some sort.
The man shutting the car door holds a rifle.
Gibbons and another man in the woods with their guns.
Gibbons (left) gestures for his partner to search in a different direction.
Gibbons' partner is armed with a lever-action rifle.
As the hunting party returns after a fruitless search, the man to the right has a shotgun in the crook of his arm.
The same man's shotgun is visible here.
The guy standing third from the left has a rifle slung over his shoulder.
The guy on the right, smoking a cigarette, has a rifle in his arms.
