Elementary is the CBS television series modern update of the Sherlock Holmes character. Jonny Lee Miller stars in the series as Holmes, a former Scotland Yard police consultant, who now helps to solve cases for the New York Police Department with the assistance of Dr. Joan Watson (Lucy Liu). The series premiered in the US on CBS in 2012. The series ended in 2019 with the conclusion of the seventh season.
