Edge of Darkness (2010)

The following weapons were used in the film Edge of Darkness:

Glock 23

Boston PD Detective Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) carries a Glock 23 as his sidearm throughout the film. He uses it on multiple occasions, most notably to dispatch some of Northmoor's private security personnel working for Jack Bennet (Danny Huston). When Craven enters David Burnham's apartment, the "23" slide markings are clearly visible. The Glock 23 is also the real life issue weapon of Boston Police Department's officers and detectives.

Craven comes knockin' on David Burnham's door. Note: here we can see the slide markings, which confirm the gun as a Glock 23. Also note the depressed trigger, indicating the weapon has not been made ready.

This is not a preferable method for Law Enforcement to enter a room or building, as a suspect lying in wait could easily grab the gun before the officer is through the door...which is exactly what happens to Craven.

"Like your name and what you're doin' here." Craven aims his Glock at Jedburgh.

"Yeah, I'm funny like that." Craven pulls his Glock on Bennett's henchmen.

Springfield Ultra Compact

Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) finds a Springfield Armory Ultra Compact with Hogue rubber grips from Emma Craven's (Bojana Novakovic) bedroom. The firearm belongs to Emma's boyfriend Dan Burnham (Shawn Roberts). Craven later gives this firearm back to Burnham to protect himself.

Craven (Mel Gibson) discovers the Ultra Compact in Emma's nightstand.

Craven checks the load in the Ultra Compact.

Craven shows Burnham his own Springfield, and questions him at the same time.

Burnham holds his Ultra Compact after Craven gives it back to him.

Heckler & Koch P2000SK

Darius Jedburgh's (Ray Winstone) sidearm throughout the film is a Heckler & Koch P2000SK. He uses it a few times, most notably at the senator's house.

SIG-Sauer P220R

Northmoor's private security officers, including Jack Bennett's bodyguards Agent One (Frank Grillo) and Agent Two (Peter Epstein) all carry SIG-Sauer P220R pistols as their sidearms. Craven (Mel Gibson) also takes one from Bennett's driver and uses it to scare him.

Bennett gets an uncomfortable experience courtesy of Craven.

Agent One aims his P220R at Craven.

"Hello, Craven."

Agent One runs down the stairs with his P220R in hand.

Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub Nose

Jack Bennett (Danny Huston) uses what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub Nose during the climactic firefight.

Glock 17

A Massachusetts State Police officer assigned briefly uses a Glock 17 in the film.

The security guard pulls his Glock.

Sawed Off 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun

A sawed-off 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun is used by Agent One (Frank Grillo) to murder Tom Craven's daughter, Emma Craven, at the beginning of the film. One is also seen on a dead hitman's table, who's being used as a fall guy.

Agent One fires a lupara at the Cravens.

Craven watches a crime scene technician dust the weapon for prints.

M4A1

The Boston PD S.W.A.T. uses M4A1 Carbines fitted with EOTech holosights and tactical lights, while serving an arrest warrant on a suspect.
