Smith & Wesson Model 29

The script called for Detective Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) to use a Smith & Wesson Model 29, chambered in .44 Magnum throughout the film. Actually, the revolver used was the Model 57 in .41 Magnum. There is no unanimity regarding this point. According to other sources, the revolver was indeed a model 29
