The Diamond Arm (Brilliantovaya Ruka) (1968)

The Diamond Arm (Brilliantovaya Ruka) (1968) is a cult classic Soviet crime comedy about misadventures of a Soviet tourist (Yuri Nikulin) who suddenly becomes a figure in a smuggling operation, when in Turkey his broken arm is plastered not only with a plaster, but also with gold and diamonds. When he contacts the authorities, he becomes a target for two unfortunate smugglers (Anatoli Papanov and Andrei Mironov).

The following weapons were used in the film The Diamond Arm (Brilliantovaya Ruka):

Handguns

Beretta M1934

Volodya (Vladimir Gulyaev) gave his Beretta M1934 to Semyon Gorbunkov (Yuri Nikulin).

Handguns in smugglers' den

A number of handguns is seen on the wall in the smugglers' den in the pharmacy in Istanbul:

Steyr-Hahn M1912 (1913 mfg) - 9x23mm Steyr
Classic Commercial Browning Hi-Power (Belgian Mfg) - 9x19mm
Mauser C96 "Pre-War Commercial" - 7.63x25mm Mauser
Luger P08 with black grips - 9x19mm
Orbea Hermanos nickel plated revolver with pearl grips, a Spanish version of Smith Wesson Double Action - .44 Russian
For comparison: Wheellock riding pistol
  • 7. Flintlock Pistol, most likely a Russian Cavalry Private's Model 1839
  • 8. Flintlock cavalry carbine, most likely a Russian cavalry Stutzer (rifled carbine).
For comparison: Russian M1803 Flintlock Cavalry Stutzer (Rifled Carbine) - .65 (16.51mm)
Steyr 1912, Browning Hi-Power, Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action and an antique long-barreled pistol. This gun seems to lack the lock but the general shape resembles wheellock.
At the right: Mauser C96, Luger P08, flintlock pistol (supposedly a Russian Cavalry Private's Model 1839), and flintlock carbine. It's hard to say for sure but the C96 may have a compact "Bolo" grip.

Lighter pistol

The lighter pistol is held by Militsiya detective Mikhail Ivanovich (Stanislav Chekan).

Long Guns

Karabiner 98k

A Karabiner 98k rifle is seen on the wall in the smugglers' den.

Karabiner 98k - 7.92x57mm Mauser. Manufactured in Germany, 1937.
The Kar 98k is on top. The rifle seems to lack the bolt handle.
The barrel is seen.

Unidentified long gun

One more long gun on the wall is seen too unclear. It may be a single barreled shotgun or a flintlock/percussion cap carbine.

The gun is on bottom.
The barrel is seen.
The stock is encircled by a metal ring.
