Devil May Cry (Anime)
Devil May Cry (Japanese: デビル メイ クライ?) is an anime series based on the video game series by Capcom, in turn very loosely based on the Italian epic poem Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. It is set sometime between Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 4. It debuted on the WOWOW TV network in Japan on June 14, 2007 and ran 12 episodes
Devil May Cry follows the story of the demon hunter known as Dante. As a half demon, half human, he uses his trusty sword Rebellion and his two guns Ebony and Ivory to take on missions. Dante owns and runs "Devil May Cry," a business that specializes in hunting and killing demon-related problems.
The following weapons were used in the anime series Devil May Cry (Anime):
Ebony and Ivory
Dante’s handguns, Ebony and Ivory are heavily customized 1911 .45 ACP pistols. They are similar to certain STI pistols, due to their extended frames. Both weapons sport one-port compensators to reduce felt recoil and muzzle flip in firing, molded wood grips with miniaturized Victorian portraits, custom slides with side exterior ejectors, custom frames, special engraving, gold assets which include; the triggers, slide releases, thumb safeties, and hammers, and extended magazines with slam pads. Despite being paired, Ebony and Ivory are not identical, aside from the finishes, the other differences are:
- Ebony has Bo-mar rear sights, A long spur hammer for one handed cocking, And if you notice, Ebony's slide is also designed to eject from the left instead of the right as the Ivory is. The Ebony is exclusively a left hand gun.
- Ivory has smaller sights (Novak or MMC), a shorter tactical safety lever and a ring hammer. It is a right hand gun.

Lady's Handguns (Browning Hi-Power/CZ 75B Hybrid)
As in Devil May Cry 3, Lady's handgun of choice is what appears to be a customized Browning Hi-Power/CZ 75B hybrid 9mm pistol, with a longer barrel and a longer and heavier slide with compensator ports. She wields two of these pistols.
Luce & Ombra
The Legendary Dark Knight Sparda's handguns are customized 1911s very similar to Dante's, though not customized to the same extent. They lack compensators, full length dust covers, have more classic slides, have single-action 1911 triggers instead of double-action triggers, use the same type of sights and spur hammer as Ebony, and both have blued finishes. These pistols are now used by the female electric devil Trish, after the demise of Sparda.
Smith & Wesson Model 36 "Chief's Special"
A scheming devil points a Smith & Wesson Model 36 at Dante's back. Of course, a tiny and weak gun cannot kill Dante, and he promptly reminds the cowardly demon of this fact.
Smith & Wesson Model 27
After getting scared by devils, a cowardly stalker gets a Smith & Wesson Model 27 with a 3.5 inch barrel. He does not use it though.
Colt M1911
The former manager of rock star Elena Houston carries a Colt M1911.
Sa vz. 61 Skorpion
One of Lady's guns is a custom Czech Sa vz. 61 Skorpion submachine gun with a large bayonet mounted on it. A note of interest is that it's modeled with a much larger than normal magazine, about the size of a 5.56x45mm type magazine (possibly the gun's actual caliber instead of .32 ACP).
Kalina Ann
Lady's rocket launcher resembles a highly modified M20 "Super Bazooka" fitted with multiple rear launch tubes for micro-missiles and a bayonet that can be projected on a chain, allowing the launcher to be used as a piton gun. Lady often uses the bayonet for melee combat, turning the launcher into a gigantic spear.
