Destiny of a Man or Fate of a Man (original title Sudba cheloveka) is a 1958 Soviet drama movie adapted from the short story by Mikhail Sholokhov. The film is the directorial debut of Sergei Bondarchuk who also appears in the role of the main character, a Soviet soldier Andrey Sokolov who overcame Nazi captivity.
