Dersu Uzala (rus. Дерсу Узала) is a 1961 Soviet film, directed by Agasi Babayan. This is the first adapted of memoirs of Vladimir Arsenyev, the Russian explorer of the Far East, the second is Dersu Uzala (1975). Dersu Uzala, the native hunter and pathfinder, was a guide for Arsenyev's expeditions in 1902-1907, and they became close friends.

Varios soldiers (include Zachursky (Lev Lobov), (Aleksandr Baranov), (Pyotr Lyubeshkin) and (Nikolai Khryashchikov)) can be seen armed with the Mosin Nagant Rifles. Captain Vladimir Arsenyev (Adolf Shestakov) gave one to native hunters.
