Dead_Island_2 is a 2023 horror-action game published by Deep Silver and developed by Dambuster Studios for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It is the third installment in the Dead Island series, and the sequel to 2013's Dead Island: Riptide. Set 15 years after the initial zombie outbreak in the Banoi Archipelago, Dead Island 2 takes place in the city of Los Angeles, during a zombie outbreak where a much advanced and stronger strain of the virus has infected a majority of the city. Much like the previous 2 games, the players take control of 6 immune individuals (dubbed "Slayers").
