The Beretta 92FS is the main sidearm of the majority of the police officers in the film including Officer Tom Hansen (Ryan Phillippe).

Beretta 92F - 9x19mm. The cosmetic differences are very slight and hard to see. Most of the changes are the inner workings of the gun.

Smith & Wesson Model 36

Anthony (Ludacris) and Peter (Larenz Tate) pull Smith & Wesson Model 36) revolvers on Cameron Thayer (Terrence Howard) when they try to carjack him.
