Christmas Rush (also released on video as Breakaway) is a 2002 made for TV action movie directed by Charles Robert Carner and starring Dean Cain, Erika Eleniak and Eric Roberts. Chicago PD Lt. Cornelius Morgan (Cain) is temporarily resigned from service after he accidentally wounded a bystander during a shootout. To make things worse, the victim sued for a large sum, which led to a conflict between Morgan and his wife Catherine. On the final day before Christmas, Rush Morgan visits the large shopping mall where Catherine works, and encounters a crew of thieves, lead by Morgan's old acquaintance Jimmy Scalzetti (Roberts). Morgan now finds himself the only man who can stop the robbers and save people taken as hostages, including his wife.

Note: while the story is set in Chicago, the movie was filmed in Winnipeg, Canada, that affects the choice of screen guns.
