The Choirboys (1977)

The Choirboys is a 1977 crime film that follows the antics of several Los Angeles police officers both on and especially off-duty, where they host raucous parties jokingly known as "choir practice" . The film was directed by Robert Aldrich and was based on the novel of the same name by Joseph Wambaugh (The Blue Knight, The Onion Field), the former LAPD veteran turned crime novelist, but the numerous script changes from the novel caused Wambaugh to request his name be taken off the film credits. The cast included Perry King, Louis Gossett Jr. and James Woods.
