Brother (Brat)

Brother (Brat) (1997) is a Russian film. The story revolves around a young Russian man named Danila, who goes to join his older brother in St. Petersburg. But Danila's older sibling is a gangster and cold blooded killer. Danila is asked to kill someone, and soon learns that he finds killing easier than living. People who don't speak Russian may find it ironic and humorous that the Russian word for 'brother' is 'brat', so any of us who have brothers will find humor in that translation.

Hand-made Revolver

In the police museum

22 lr. hand-made revolver. These revolvers were made in
'90s by one of gangs which operated at Moscow suburbs.

Some people wrongly accept it for the Nagant.

1st Danila's gun in movie. He got it when he hit gangster who was trying to get merchandises from Hoffman. During the film Danila used this revolver time and again. At first it has frightened two impudent Caucasians in a tram. Then has killed the Chechen gangster and has hit one of Round's henchmen nicknamed Shisa. As with this revolver he ambushed in apartment of the Round's debtor.

Danila: -Pay a fine!

Makarov PM belonged to a mobster nicknamed Iron,
which was one of the Round's henchmen. Iron was
waiting in the ambush in the Round's debtor flat with
this gun.

Danila: - I'm looking for my brother, Bagrov Victor, he lived here. I'm his younger brother. My mother gave me his adress.
Victor: - Well, hello... Brother.

At first, Viktor put the gun to Danila's head when Danila comes.

Later, Viktor trying to sell 1911 to Danila for $600. Danila answered he don't need it.

Victor: - Here is the gun with the magasine - it costs 600 dollars... We will pay off later.

Also, Colt 1911 is nervous gangster's gun.

The Nervous knocks down Stepan.
