The Breitner Commando (French title : Qu'un Sang Impur...) is a 2019 French drama/war movie directed by Abdel Raouf Dafri. In a scenario likely inspired by Apocalypse Now, Lt. Colonel Breitner (Johan Heldenberg), a veteran of the First Indochina War, receives a mission to find the corpse of the supposedly dead Colonel Delignière (Olivier Gourmet). Breitner, along with a group of commandos, venture into the Algerian desert and find madness and danger on their quest.

The following weapons were used in the film The Breitner Commando:

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Handguns

Colt M1911

The original Colt M1911 is briefly by French paratroopers. Mourad (Salim Kechiouche) carries a Colt 1911 during his escape and Martillat (Pierre Lottin) uses a suppressed one.

Original Colt M1911 (dated 1913) - .45 ACP
A paratrooper is shot in the back while holding an M1911.
Mourad takes the gun from a dead French soldier. Bad idea to put a locked and loaded pistol in your pants.
Martillat while pretending to be a fellagha, hides his suppressed M1911 before killing a sentry.
Martillat ambushes and kills Youcef (Hichem Yacoubi) and an another fellagha.

Remington 1911 R1

Colonel Delignière (Olivier Gourmet) use a bright nickel plated Remington 1911 R1 with pearl grips to kill Assia (Lyna Khoudri). Youcef also uses the same pistol to execute Senghor (Steve Tientcheu). While Remington did manufacture a run of original-model M1911 pistols from 1918 to 1919, the pistol used in the film is an anachronistic Remington 1911 R1, which was first produced in 2010.

Youcef draws the Remington at Senghor's head.
The "Remington" inscription is clearly visible on the slide.
"It's okay, Colonel. It's right."
Senghor accept his death sentence.

MAC Mle 1950

The Lieutenant leading the Harkis (Algerians who served in the French Army during the Algerian War) fires a MAC Mle 1950 pistol at surviving fellaghas (a catch-all term for Algerian militants who fought against the French during the Algerian War). A fellagha wounds Breitner with an Mle 1950.

Luger P08

Breitner's sidearm is a Luger P08.

Highlight for Spoiler: Breitner kills Delignière to avenge Assia.

Browning Hi-Power

At the fellaghas' camp, Mourad carries a Browning Hi-Power.

Walther P38

Youcef's pistol is a Walther P38, which is briefly brandished.

Smith & Wesson Model 10

Staff Sergeant Senghor (Steve Tientcheu) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 10.

Senghor draws his revolver when the commandoes are trapped.

Submachine Guns

M1928A1 Thompson

Breitner's weapon of choice is a M1928A1 Thompson with a 50-round drum magazine. Other members of the commando team carry the gun as well when the situation calls for it.

Martillat (Pierre Lottin) shoots at fleeing looters who slaughtered Algerian civilians.
The same scene from another angle.
Martillat realizes he is out of ammo when he wants to finish off a looter.
Breitner stands ready when they are trapped.

M1 Thompson

In a continuity error, when Breitner retrieves his equipment from a case in his house, the Thompson within is an M1 model.

Breitner's Thompson, with the stock removed. It becomes an M1928A1 for the rest of the film. Note the drum magazine within the case, this particular style of magazine is incompatible with the M1 Thompson.

MAT-49

French Army soldiers and fellaghas use the MAT-49.

Rifles

MAS-36

French soldiers and fellaghas are seen carrying the MAS-36, but it is never fired.

The fellagha on the left holds the first version of the MAS-36, distinguishable by the non-hooded front sight. Note the bayonet is missing.
In a continuity error, the same rifle now has a bayonet.

Karabiner 98k

Martillat's main rifle is a scoped Karabiner 98k. He uses it with a suppressor as well. The suppressor used by Martillat seems to be the same one he screws onto his M1911- an impossible feat considering the two different calibers of these weapons. Senghor shoots a would-be rapist with Martillat's rifle. Several fellaghas are also armed with regular Kar98ks.

Trivia

Porcelain Mines

Assia is the daughter of a dead terrorist whose was a specialist in explosives and undetectable mines made from porcelain or terracotta. He taught her how to make these mines and where they are buried.

Marked porcelain mines, that Martillat will destroy with the Kar98k.
