Boyz N The Hood (1991)

Colt Python

Furious' (Laurence Fishburne's) "piece" is a Colt Python .357 Magnum. In the beginning of the film, he uses it to fire two shots at the burglar in his home. Later in the film, Tre (Cuba Gooding Jr) grabs it from Furious' stash box as he prepares to avenge Ricky.

The police officer who pulls over Tre and Ricky uses an identical-looking Colt Python (most likely Fishburne's gun being reused in a different scene).

Colt M1911 derivative

Doughboy (Ice Cube) is seen throughout the film using an unknown Colt M1911-type pistol. It is stainless, and is most likely of fairly recent manufacture for the time of the film (1991), so it might be the Mark IV Series 70. The gun is simply never seen close-up in the film, so it's hard to tell what type it is exactly.

MAC-10

At the car show on Crenshaw, Ferris (Raymond C. Turner) scares away Doughboy and his crew by unloading several magazines from a MAC-10 into the air.

Unknown Double-Barrel Shotgun

One of Ferris' crew uses an unknown model sawed off double-barrel shotgun to kill Ricky (Morris Chestnut).

Norinco Type 56-1

At the end of the film, Monster (Baldwin C. Sykes), a member of Doughboy's crew, uses a folding-stock Norinco Type 56-1 assault rifle (Chinese AKS-47/AKMS clone) to gun down Ferris and his crew in a drive-by shooting. It's interesting to note that he loads in the magazine incorrectly when he's loading the gun (the way he loads it prevents the hook in front of the feed lips from connecting properly to the mag well).
