Born by Revolution (Rozhdyonnaya revolyutsiey) is a Soviet made for TV historical films series, released in 1974-1977, directed by Grigori Kokhan and based on the novel "Povest ob ugolovnom rozyske" ("A Tale of Criminal Investigations Department") by Aleksey Nagorny and Geliy Ryabov. The series depicts the history of Soviet Ugolovny Rozysk (criminal police) from 1917 to 1970s, seen through the eyes of Nikolay Fomich Kondratyev (Evgeniy Zharikov).

The seventh film On the Night of the 20th (V noch na 20-e) is set during the Great Patriotic war, mostly in Autumn 1941 in Moscow. Nikolay Kondratyev, currently Militsia Colonel, leads the struggle against saboteurs in the days of the Battle for Moscow. Nikolay's son Aleksey Kondratyev is seen among Soviet partisans on Nazi occupied territory.

Nagant M1895

Kondratyev's subordinate Igor (Aleksandr Molotov) carries a Nagant M1895 revolver when he arrests a bandit Genka (Aleksandr Lebedev). A Nagant is also seen in hands of unnamed saboteur (Zhorzh Novitskiy).

Tokarev TT-33

Col. Nikolay Kondratyev (Evgeniy Zharikov), Capt. Oleg Borovkov (Mikhail Chigaryov), Lt. Mikhail Lyubimov (Viktor Stovba) and Lt. Smirnov (Evgeni Leonov-Gladyshev) carry TT-33 pistols. In the course of events bandit Kochetkov (Dmitri Mirgorodsky) commandeers Lyubimov's pistol; when Kochetkov is arrested, the pistol is seen in hands of Kondratyev's subordinate Anatoliy Mironov (Anatoli Pereverzev). In the scene in partisans camp Aleksey Kondratyev (Vladislav Dolgorukov) and Afinogen Polyukaev (Sergei Ivanov) carry TT holsters, as like as many Moscow militsioneers.
