Black Widow is a 2021 American spy film directed by Cate Shortland and written by Eric Pearson, Jac Schaeffer (WandaVision), and Ned Benson. The film marks the first solo feature starring Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and Avenger who was part of the Russian "Black Widow" female assassin program. After the events of Captain America: Civil War, while on the run from the US government, Natasha is forced to contact her long-forgotten family. Together, they decide to end their dark past and destroy the Red Room once and for all. Black Widow also is the first feature film of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was originally scheduled for release in 2020, but after several delays, was released in July of 2021 in both theaters and on the premium tier of the streaming service Disney+.

The following weapons were used in the film Black Widow:

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Revolvers

Kimber K6s CDP

In the opening scene, Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz) picks up what appears to be a Kimber K6s CDP revolver from the kitchen cabinet and quickly puts it in her purse before escaping from their temporary house in Ohio in 1995. This gun is an anachronism since the Kimber K6s was introduced in 2016.

Chiappa Rhino 60DS

Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) is armed with a Chiappa Rhino 60DS with Heckler & Koch P30-style grip, but it is holstered for most of the film. In the Red Room in Dreykov's office, she pulls out a gun and points it at Natasha, but lowers it on her father's orders.

Pistols

Beretta 92FS

During the opening scene set in 1995, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents fire what appear to be Beretta 92FS pistols at Natasha's family's plane as they attempt to escape from the USA. Two Berettas with wooden grips with the Black Widow logo and three pistols with regular black plastic grips are seen on the table in the Red Room during the opening credits. What appears to be a Beretta 92FS is seen in the holster of a police officer involved in some kind of riot in Dreykov's video. A Beretta 92FS pistol hangs on a weapon rack in Melina's armory.

Glock 17

SWAT officers and some Albany County Sheriff's Department deputy officers have Glock 17s at the arresting scene. For some unknown reason, several of the SWAT officers storming the Albany Terminal where Natasha Romanoff is allegedly hiding have two pistols and two drop leg holsters, with most Glock 17s holstered on their right drop leg holsters. A New York sheriff's deputy also aims with a pistol while hiding behind the hood of a police car. A Glock 17 can be seen in Melina's weapons armory.

Glock 17 (mounted in a CAA Micro RONI)

The four Black Widows are armed with a Glock 17 with 33-round magazine mounted in a CAA Micro RONI with laser sights when they break into the former S.H.I.E.L.D. safe house, where Yelena now lives. They aim solely by the lasers due to the low light level and smoky environment. Despite good training, they never shoot Natasha and Yelena, who quickly knock down one of the Widows and run away from the apartment.

Glock 26

Twin Glock 26 pistols with extended magazines appear as the main weapons of all Black Widows. One of them puts the gun in her holster during the opening credits. Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and another Black Widow named Ingrid (Nanna Blondell) have holstered pistols during their mission to eliminate a traitor in Tangier, Morocco. Yelena's guns are best seen when she fights Oksana, and Ingrid's when she tries to contact her runaway partner. After escaping Ross' pursuit in New York, Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) takes her pistols (or one of them) and goes to a temporary refuge near Sæbø, Norway. Noticing that there is already someone in the RV, she pulls out the gun, but lowers it, since it turns out to be her friend Rick Mason (O-T Fagbenle). After going for gasoline for the generator, she is ambushed by Taskmaster on the bridge, where during a short battle she draws and shoots her Glock 26 at the attacker several times before it is kicked out of her hands and never recovered after she is kicked off the bridge. Yelena continues to carry and use her Glock 26 later in Budapest. At first, she points it at Natasha during their long-awaited meeting, but, during the fight, they both exchange guns. At some point, Natasha returns the Glock 26 to Yelena, and during a chase through the streets of Budapest, points the gun at the BMW driver (Marcel Dorian), while stealing his car. Ingrid and the other Widows continue to carry holstered pistols as they chase Natasha and Yelena. Yelena draws and wields her gun at the Saint Petersburg homestead when Red Room operatives arrive until Melina knocks her out. Many Black Widows practice with Glock pistols in the Red Room.

Glock 43

Deciding to rescue her adoptive father Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour) from prison in exchange for information about the Red Room, Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) contacts Rick again to get transport and new equipment which includes a pair of Glock 43 pistols, however, the guns aren't used during the rescue operation. At the meeting place, she takes one of the pistols out of her bag to examine. Some Black Widows in the Red Room train with Glock 43s along with Glock 26s. Natasha, disguised as Melina (Rachel Weisz), carries her pistols in holsters during her meeting with Dreykov. After revealing, Natasha points the Glock 43 at Dreykov but is unable to harm him due to protective pheromones. Dreykov (Ray Winstone) takes the gun and shoots at the ceiling to prove that the gun is loaded. After retrieving data of all the Black Widows, as she escapes the Red room, Natasha draws both her Glock 43s and shoots at the glass. Once she jumps out she loses both guns leaving her thigh holsters empty by the end of the film. In several scenes, the gun is replaced with an Umarex replica because the gun is too close to the Ray Winstone's face.

Nat holds her Glock 43 at Dreykov but for some reason is unable to fire her gun. The slide profile is very thin compared to the Glock 26 she usually carries.
But Dreykov doesn't seem surprised by anything. The gun's thinner striker profile can be seen along with the Glock factory
An excellent close-up of Black Widow's pistol confirms to be a Glock 43 and not her usual Glock 26. Here you can see how slim the slide and frame are with the latter showing the shaved width profile of the frame and bulging material area where the slide release section is. The underbarrel frame section is also thinner and lacking a rail from a Glock 26. Also, a special Umarex marking and serial number is noticeable on the pistol.
General Dreykov fires the Black Widow's pistol upwards.
Realizing that they cannot harm each other, Dreykov and Natasha have a dialogue. At this time, the pistol lies on the general's desk showing the gun's slim appearance.
Natasha shoots at the glass as she runs to clear her way out of the collapsing Red Room.

FN Five-seveN

The Red Room operatives carry FN Five-seveN pistols in holsters throughout the movie. They are first seen during the opening credits when the operatives lead the stolen children into the trucks for the Red Room. Due to this sequence taking place in 1995, the pistol is anachronistic by 3 years. In the final act of the film, pistols can also be seen, for example, in the holster of the operative, from whom Melina knocks the gun out, or during the evacuation of Dreykov.

Heckler & Koch P30

Rick Mason (O-T Fagbenle), an independent contractor and Natasha's ally, has a Heckler & Koch P30. It lies on the bedside table in front of the bed and he tries to take the gun but stops when he sees Natasha. Later he leaves the gun for Natasha next to the building's stairs in Budapest. Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) takes the gun and enters an apartment previously used by S.H.I.E.L.D. as a safe house, where Yelena now lives. During a confrontation, she briefly exchanges the pistol with her sister's pistol. During the fight between Natasha and Yelena, the gun falls to the floor and remains there.

Makarov PM

In the opening scene, at least two Russian soldiers in Cuba in 1995 have holstered Makarov PM pistols. When one of them grabs Yelena (Violet McGraw) by the arm, Natasha (Ever Anderson) kicks him and takes the pistol out of his holster. She points the gun at the soldiers and then at her father. At this moment, one soldier grabs a pistol from his holster and aims at her. However, Alexei (David Harbour) manages to calm down his daughter and disarm her. He unloads the gun and drops it to the ground. The pistol stays on the ground until the end of the flashback. Several Makarov pistols are seen in a weapons armory in Budapest.

Taking the pistol from his daughter, Shostakov immediately unloads it.
Alexei drops the pistol on the ground and the soldier from whom Natasha snatched it and does not take the gun but instead picks up Yelena's Twilight Sparkle plush, which is notably anachronistic as the character and show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic wasn't around until 2010.
A detailed peek of the weapon rack in Budapest shows seven Makarov PM pistols (three of them have suppressor-ready barrels).
In the gun armory, above and below the Mossberg 590 Cruiser shotgun are five to six Makarov pistols which some appear suppressor-ready.

Tokarev TT

One of the Black Widows recruits fires a Tokarev TT-33 pistol in a closed shooting range during the opening credits. Later four more pistols are seen on the table in the Red Room and two Black Widows take them. The pistol also appears as a secondary weapon for Seventh Circle Prison guards.

Unknown Pistols

In addition to the Glock 17, the SWAT officers who storm the Albany Terminal where Natasha Romanoff is believed to be hiding carry unidentified pistols in their holsters. Ross' operatives also have unidentified holstered pistols.

Two officers (right and left) have pistols in holsters on their right legs.
The holsters with the guns are seen when the operators enter the Terminal building with Ross.

Submachine Guns

CZ Scorpion Evo 3 A1

Almost all Red Room operatives are armed with CZ Scorpion Evo 3 A1 with sights. It is first seen during the ambush at Melina's homestead. Many operatives are also armed with submachine guns in the Red Room. Melina (Rachel Weisz) picks up the gun of one of the operatives and shoots at the turbine.

After that, the weapon falls to the floor...
...and then, Melina picks up it. Note the lack of trigger and trigger guard
Immediately after this, several operatives appear, urging her to drop her weapons.
Raising her hands up with the Scorpion EVO, she fires the M203 grenade launcher directly at the turbine above them. Important note: Melina pulls the trigger of the Scorpion EVO itself, not the grenade launcher.

Steyr TMP

Two Steyr TMPs are first seen on the table in the Red Room during the opening credits. Several Steyr TMPs are seen in Yelena Belova's (Florence Pugh) armory in Budapest apartment. After escaping from the Widows, one of them (Simona Zivkovska) continues the pursuit on a motorcycle. In this scene, she switches from the AW-F rifle to a Steyr TMP and shoots at the car that Natasha and Yelena stole from a civilian (Marcel Dorian) until Yelena knocks her off the motorcycle with the torn-off door.

Assault Rifles and Carbines

AK-47

In the opening scene, several Russian soldiers in Cuba in 1995 are armed with an AK-47. One of them holds the assault rifle at the ready when Natasha (Ever Anderson) grabs the pistol from another soldier, but then lowers it. AK-47s wielded by Russian soldiers in 1995 should be considered an anachronism. Some Seventh Circle Prison guards are also armed with now obsolete AK-47 during the riot.

AKS-47

In the opening scene, one of the Russian soldiers in Cuba in 1995 is armed with an AKS-47. He keeps it ready when Natasha (Ever Anderson) grabs the pistol from another soldier but then lowers it. Again an anachronism for a Russian soldier to carry an outdated rifle in 1995.

AKS-74

Seventh Circle Prison guards are mostly armed with AKS-74 assault rifles during a prison riot. Most if not all AKs have tactical railed handguards similar to LHV47 (or its airsoft clone from King Arms) railed handguards.

Heckler & Koch G36C

The Red Room operatives are armed with the Heckler & Koch G36C during child kidnapping for the Black Widow program during the opening credits. This is an anachronism as the opening credits take place around 1995, while the G36C wasn't produced until 2001. By 2016, operatives instead use the HS Produkt VHS-K2 and CZ Scorpion Evo 3 A1. Several SWAT officers led by U.S. Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross are also armed with Heckler & Koch G36Cs with EOTech sights when they are looking for Natasha to arrest.

M4A1

A US Army soldier holds what appears to be an M4A1 with an M203 grenade launcher during the opening credits. Several SWAT officers are armed with the M4A1 with EOTech sights and flashlights when approaching Albany Terminal. Two Black Widows use M4A1 carbines with ACOG scopes and SureFire M900 vertical grips during the raid on a S.H.I.E.L.D. safehouse in Budapest. Hearing shots in Yelena's apartment, they attack Natasha and her sister, and then, going up the stairs, continue to shoot them.

Ruger Mini-14

In the opening scene, Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour) takes a newer version of Ruger Mini-14 with the optic scope and a pack of cartridges from a closet when Natasha's family escapes from their temporary house in Ohio in 1995. Inadvertently, he scatters cartridges, but little Yelena (Violet McGraw) helps him to collect them. However, in all other scenes, an older rifle is used, which can be distinguished by the slanted front sight. Alexei puts the rifle and other things in the car and the family drives to the airfield. There, he pulls the rifle from the trunk and hangs it on his back, preparing the plane for flight, and when the S.H.I.E.L.D. SUVs approach, he takes the rifle and fires several times. Alexei runs after the plane, shooting on the run, and at the last moment jumps onto the wing, from where he continues to fire from his rifle, taking several cars out of the pursuit.

...and continues shooting, but this time on the wing of the plane.
It turns out to be much more difficult to shoot on the wing of the plane, so he spends a lot of time aiming.
The last shot by Alexei knocks out two cars at once.

Shotguns

AA-12

Seventh Circle Prison guards are incorrectly armed with AA-12 shotguns with non-lethal ammo (the KS-23 would be a better choice for Russia). Many of them open fire when a riot breaks out in the prison with the sound report of a multi-shot gas launcher. A production image shows Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) with an AA-12, but she does not use it in the final cut.

Sniper Rifles

Accuracy International AW-F

Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and another Black Widow named Ingrid (Nanna Blondell) track down the fugitive Black Widow Oksana (Michelle Lee) in Tangier, Morocco with suppressed Accuracy International AW-Fs. When Oksana notices the surveillance, she starts to run away and Yelena pulls out the bolt from her rifle (apparently for security reasons) and, leaving it on the roof, runs in pursuit. Ingrid also leaves her rifle on a tripod and discovers Yelena's escape. One of the Black Widows (Simona Zivkovska) spots Natasha and Yelena and starts firing a rifle (but misses) during a raid on the S.H.I.E.L.D. safehouse in Budapest. Then Ingrid goes to intercept, leaving her rifle in the sniper position.

M84 Stun Grenade

Yelena (Florence Pugh) takes one M84 stun grenade from her arsenal and throws it onto the stairs during the Black Widow attack in Budapest. This gives them a few seconds, and she and Natasha escape through the roof. Several grenades also hang from the Black Widows' weapon rack in the Red Room. Yelena grabs one of them, tyes on test tubes with Red Dust, and throws them into the crowd of hostile Black Widows beating Natasha in Dreykov's office.

Other

Black Widow's Bite

The Black Widow's Bite is an electroshock bracelet used by all Black Widow assassins. The bracelets are not used most of the time in the film. For the first time, Ingrid (Nanna Blondell), whose mind is controlled by Dreykov, uses the Bite to commit suicide due to her injuries. Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), who has betrayed her family, fires a Bite at Yelena in her home as the Red Room operatives arrive. Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) also stuns several hostile Black Widows with the Bite during a fight in Dreykov's office in the film's final act.

Ingrid brings the weapon to her face against her will.
Melina shoots her youngest daughter.
Natasha (Scarlett Johansson) fights off a crowd of Widows with a Bite.

Hawkeye's Collapsible Recurve Bow

After Dreykov activates the Taskmaster protocol, she examines the recording of the Avengers Civil War (see Captain America: Civil War) at the Leipzig-Halle Airport, specifically the Black Panther and Hawkeye fight, in which Clint uses his unique bow. After that, Taskmaster copies the fighting style of both and uses his own bow in Budapest.

Taskmaster examines the recording of the Black Panther and Hawkeye fight at the Leipzig-Halle Airport.

Taskmaster's Collapsible Recurve Bow

Inspired by Hawkeye's fighting style, Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) creates her own collapsible recurve bow with explosive arrows. She first uses a bow in Norway during an ambush on Natasha Romanoff, but it is unseen. While chasing Natasha and Yelena in Budapest, Taskmaster activates her bow and shoots an exploding arrow under the bottom of their car.

Taskmaster (stunt double Andy Lister in this scene) shoots the bow at Natasha and Yelena's car.
The explosive arrow bounces off the asphalt and hits the underside of the car in slow motion...
...and the car explodes.

Yelena's Armory

Yelena (Florence Pugh) created her own arsenal in one of the rooms of a S.H.I.E.L.D. safehouse in Budapest. After a small fight, Yelena and Natasha go together to the armory, where Belova takes a wad of money and an M84 stun grenade while discussing the Budapest Operation with her sister.

A production still of Florence Pugh and Scarlett Johansson in Yelena's armory. Behind them you can see an ammo press, an AKS-74 with a GP-25 grenade launcher, the pistol grip and part of the receiver of an AMD-65 (above), and a stock of what appears to be an AKS-74U.
Natasha notices the room with weapons. This shot best shows what appears to be the AKS-74U over the ammo press.
A more detailed look at the right side of the weapon rack. Here you can see (from right to left): the AMD-65 on top of the ammo box, a Sa vz. 61 Skorpion and Yugoslavian CZ Vz. 61 E Skorpion, the AKS-74 with a GP-25 grenade launcher, a customized FÉG NGM-81, an RGD-5 hand grenade, seven Makarov PM pistols (two of them have an extended barrel and suppressor mount threading), an AKS-47, a Mossberg 590 Cruiser (as seen with bayonet lug and magazine tube cap), a barrel, wooden handguard, and high-capacity magazine tube of a Mossberg 500 from below, one more CZ Vz. 61 E Skorpion, and the barrel of a Norinco NDM-86.
Yelena enters the armory for supplies. Here you can see an AKS-74U, one more Sa vz. 61 Skorpion, a CZ Scorpion Evo 3 A1 with folded stock, one more Steyr TMPs, a more detailed look at the Norinco NDM-86, and an unknown weapon (possibly a Brügger & Thomet APC9 PRO G).
