Black Sun (the direct translation of the original title Chyornoye solntse) is a 1970 Soviet historical drama directed by Aleksei Speshnev (Khronika nochi). The story depicts the life and death of Robert Moussombe, the leader of some unnamed African state. The main character is a fictionalised depiction of Patrice Lumumba, and the events mostly follow the Congo Crisis in 1960s. Some other characters also have real life prototypes, like Dag Hammarskjold for John Bart, or Moise Tshombe for Jacques Loup.

In the scene of the hunt in Africa some hunters carry double barreled shotguns.

Sturmgewehr 44 (visually modified)

Numerous Sturmgewehr 44 are seen in the movie. They are visually modified (in two different versions) in order to resemble more modern guns, used during the Congo Crisis. These mockups, made on Belarusfilm studios, are different from Mosfilm fake M16, often seen in Soviet movies.

The first model lacks the buttstock, sometilmes these guns are fitted with longer stick magazines.

Mocked-Up Version 2 (as FN FAL)

The second model retains the buttstock thought sometimes the standard one is replaced with a custom. The barrel is covered with a cylinder foregrip with slots. The front sight replaced with new one. It stand in for the FN FAL, that were widely used in Congo. They also retain the StG original magazines; while the FAL 30-round ones existed, they were usually used only with FN FALO.
