Batwoman is the CW television series adaptation of the DC Comics superhero. Ruby Rose stars in the series as Kate Kane, a disgraced military cadet who discovers her cousin Bruce Wayne's secret identity as the vigilante Batman and subsequently takes his place following the Caped Crusader's disappearance, modifying the Batsuit and taking on the identity of Batwoman. Batwoman is part of the network's Arrowverse, as she was introduced in the 2018 Elseworlds crossover series and the show premiered on the CW Network in 2019.
In May 2020, Rose announced she would exit the series, and two months later, Javicia Leslie was cast as Ryan Wilder, a new character that takes up the identity of Batwoman after Kate disappears.
As of April 2022, the show ended after 3 seasons.
