The following weapons appear in the video game Battlefield: 1943:

United States

Colt M1911A1

The M1911A1 is the sidearm of the American Scout class. It is incorrectly portrayed as firing from an uncocked hammer, which stays uncocked even if first round has been fired or if the gun's slide has been pulled back while reloading.

Type 5 Garand copy

The Type 5 Rifle is the standard weapon for the Japanese Rifleman Class. Note that the Japanese only produced this weapon in 1945 and very few were made; None, however saw any service. It is possible that this weapon was put into the game to help balance it out. It is clearly just a tweaked and reused M1 Garand model as the Japanese M1 copy was loaded with stripper clips, not an en-bloc clip like it is in game.

Karabiner 98

Due to budget and time restraints on EA's part, they could not model the Arisaka and instead gave the Japanese Scout Class Scoped Karabiner 98ks.
