It is shown in the game with an curved extended magazine (resembling the Mauser Selbstlader magazine), which apparently is inspired by an unconfirmed 20-round box magazine that was allegedly tested by the German Infantry in WWI. The real detachable extended box magazine was actually tested in Switzerland, and it holds only 12 rounds.
