Badlands (1973).

Badlands is a 1973 drama written and directed by Terrence Malick and starring Martin Sheen as Kit Carruthers, a young man who goes on the run along with Holly Sargis (Sissy Spacek), an impressionable 15 year old girl following a murder. The film was loosely based on a true story.

Springfield M1903A3

A Bent County deputy, Tom (Alan Vint), chasing Kit uses an Springfield M1903A3. He tells Kit he fired a ".30-06" when Kit asks what kind of ammunition was being fired at him.
