American Ninja is a 1985 martial arts action film starring Michael Dudikoff as Joe Armstrong, a former US soldier with no memory of his past, yet is skilled in the way of the ninja. The film was helmed by Sam Firstenberg, who also directed the 1989 sequel American Ninja 2: The Confrontation. There would be 2 more films in the series: 1989's American Ninja 3: Blood Hunt and 1990's American Ninja 4: The Annihilation.
The following weapons were used in the film American Ninja:
Colt Police Positive
One of the rebels tries to kill Joe (Michael Dudikoff) with a Colt Police Positive revolver with custom grips during the intro.
Another rebel is seen with what looks like a Colt Trooper revolver.
Colt M1911A1 pistols are used by Col. William T. Hickock (Guich Koock), MSgt. Rinaldo (John LaMotta), Victor Ortega (Don Stewart), Cpl. Curtis Jackson (Steve James), and various rebels and bodyguards.
The rebel leader (Jerry Bailey) uses a Uzi submachine gun during the first few minutes of the film.
M16A1 rifles are used by U.S. Army, Ortega's guards and rebels.
M60 Machine Gun
Cpl. Curtis Jackson (Steve James) fires a vehicle mounted M60 machine gun during the assault at Ortega's plantation.
Cpl. Curtis Jackson's (Steve James) M16A1 is fitted with an M203 grenade launcher.
FAKE FIM-92A Stinger
The film revolves around corrupt U.S. Army officers selling missile launchers to Victor Ortega. These FIM-92A Stinger launchers are clearly fake, props however. Cpl. Curtis Jackson (Steve James) can be seen firing a fake Stinger at a helicopter in the climax of the film.
