Amazing Stories (1985-1987)

Amazing Stories was a television anthology series created by Steven Spielberg that aired on NBC from 1985 to 1987. The ambitious series premiered with great fanfare due to its high profile director and the series attracted several A-list directors to helm various episodes including Clint Eastwood, Joe Dante, Danny DeVito, Peter Hyams, Robert Zemeckis, and Martin Scorsese in addition to Spielberg himself.

The following weapons were used in the television series Amazing Stories:



Machine Guns

Browning M2 Aircraft Heavy Machine Gun

Browning M2 Aircraft heavy machine guns are the primary armament of the B-17 Flying Fortress in Season 1's "The Mission" (S1E05), which was directed by Steven Spielberg and featured Kevin Costner and Kiefer Sutherland as part of a B-17 bomber crew who struggle to find a way to get their young gunner out of his ball turret before they crash land.

"No Day At The Beach" is a Season 1 episode featuring Charlie Sheen as one of a group of young US infantrymen who are about to get their first taste of battle as they storm a beach in Italy.

M1A1 Thompson

The M1A1 Thompson was the standard issue submachine gun for US Forces in WWII and is mainly seen used by Irish (Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini).
