Amazing Stories was an ambitious television anthology series created by Steven Spielberg that aired on NBC from 1985 to 1987. The series was able to attract several A-list directors to helm various episodes including Clint Eastwood, Joe Dante, Danny DeVito, Peter Hyams, Robert Zemeckis, and Martin Scorsese in addition to Spielberg himself.

The Mission
The Mission is a Season 1 episode directed by Steven Spielberg that features Kevin Costner and Kiefer Sutherland as part of a B-17 bomber crew who struggle to find a way to get their young gunner out of his ball turret before they crash land.
