Adelheid (1970)

Shadows of a Hot Summer (Stíny horkého léta) is Czechoslovakian drama from 1970 directed by Frantisek Vlácil. Story of a former Czechoslovak soldier (Petr Cepek) in the aftermath of World War II, takes charge of a manor formerly owned by a German family. He falls in love with the daughter, who is now a maid, and is forced to confront the stress between his love and his conscience when he discovers her sheltering her German-soldier brother.
