Adelheid is Czechoslovakian drama from 1970 directed by Frantisek Vlácil. Story of the Lt. Viktor Chotovický (Petr Cepek), former Czechoslovak soldier, who in the aftermath of World War II He takes care of the family house expropriated Nazi war criminals. He falls in love with the daughter of ex-owner, who is now a maid, and is forced to confront the stress between his love and his conscience when he discovers her sheltering her German-soldier brother.
