A Trap for Jackals (Kapkan dlya shakalov) is a Soviet 1985 adventure detective movie directed by Mukadas Makhmudov. In early 1920s the treasures of Qurboshi (chieftan) Gaib-bek were hidden in a remote cave somewhere in Tajikistan. In 1984 Militsiya detective Maj. Farid Azizov investigates a murder and finds out that it is connected with the treasure map.

Revolvers

Nagant M1895

During the events of 1920s Nagant M1895 revolvers are used by basmachi, including Qurboshi Gaib-bek (Elgudzha Burduli) and his henchman Yusuf (Konstantin Butayev). During the events of 1984 wrongly accused Akbar Rakhmanov (Andrey Podoshian) confronts a real murderer with a Nagant that belonges to his sister, circus trick shooter Tajinisso Akhmadova (Alla Renzyayeva).

Mauser C96

Gaib-bek (Elgudzha Burduli) and his son Ali (Maksud Imatshoyev) use Mauser C96 pistols during the events of 1920s.

Makarov PM

Makarov PM pistols are service sidearms of Soviet Militsiya. They are seen in hands of Maj. Farid Akhmedovich Azizov (Nurullo Abdullayev) and Sr.Lt. Abdulayev (Iso Abdurashidov).

Many Gaib-bek's and Ali's basmachi, including Yusuf (Konstantin Butayev) and Sattar (Edilbek Chokubayev), are armed with out of time Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbines.

Degtyaryov DT (visually modified to resemble Lewis)

A Degtyaryov DT, visually modified to resemble Lewis Gun, is used by Gaib-bek (Elgudzha Burduli) and one of his men.

DT machine gun - 7.62x54mm R. DT could be dismounted from the tank or armored car and used with a bipod as a light machine gun.
