1883 is a Paramount+ original streaming series that is a prequel to the Paramount Network series Yellowstone. The series follows an earlier generation of the Dutton family as they make the dangerous trek from Fort Worth, Texas to Montana and what will eventually become the Dutton family ranch. The series premiered on December 19, 2021, on the streaming service Paramount+.
