I'm Back (Italian title: Sono tornato) is a 2018 Italian satirical black comedy film based on the 2015 German film Look Who's Back (which was based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Timur Vermes). The film follows Benito Mussolini (Massimo Popolizio), who suddenly wakes up in present-day Rome in 2017, finding Italy still full of the problems that he attempted to fix. Eventually, he is discovered by filmmaker Andrea Canaletti (Frank Matano), who, under the impression that he is an impersonator, agrees to help Mussolini become a celebrity. The film follows Mussolini and Canaletti as they travel across Italy in search of fame, interspersed with unscripted scenes of Mussolini interacting with the present-day citizens of Italy.
