Jagged Alliance 3 is a tactical role-playing video game developed by Haemimont Games and published by THQ Nordic. The game was released for Windows on July 14, 2023. The game was also released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on November 16, 2023. It is the first mainline entry in the Jagged Alliance series since Jagged Alliance 2 (1999).

Played from an isometric perspective, Jagged Alliance 3 is a turn-based tactics video game in which the player issues commands to a squad of mercenaries. Each member of the player's squad has their own unique backstories and personalities. The game features a roster of 40 mercenaries, including several returning characters such as Vicki Waters, Ivan Dolvich and Fidel Dahan. Weapons can be customized and the mercenaries can aim at individual body parts of an enemy. They can also be looted for their resources. Players can access a dynamic campaign map, which will provide more context about each individual turn-based battle, and how the enemy forces react to them as they attempt to retake these territories. Players will gain intel as they progress, thus unlocking additional side missions and opportunities. As the mercenaries level up, they will also unlock new skills and abilities. The game features a cooperative multiplayer mode. (taken from Wikipedia)

The game is set in the fictional French speaking African nation of Grand Chien in the year 2001, where a rogue para-military group known as the "Legion", led by a mysterious figure who is called "The Major" has kidnapped the president sending the country into chaos. The president's daughter Emma hires the faceless, nameless player character to organize teams of mercenaries to retake the region. Her initial funding is bolstered by the Adonis Corporation, a foreign run diamond mining company who promises a cut of the profits from every mine restored to their control.

The following weapons appear in the video game Jagged Alliance 3:

Handguns

Single Action Army

The Single Action Army appears in Jagged Alliance 3 with the name "Peacemaker", alluding to the nickname given to the real-life firearm. It is an uncommon early game handgun and is a part of some hirable mercenaries starting loadouts. The only modifiable part is the barrel which has three options; the default has a 7.5" long "Cavalry" barrel, the "Short Barrel" gives it a 4.75" long "Civilian" barrel and the "Extended Barrel" gives it the 12" long "Buntline Special" barrel. It is chambered in an ambiguous ".44" cartridge, which is heavily implied to be .44 Magnum. Despite the in-game flavour text referencing the second generation SAA's "carry one chamber empty" recommendation, player controlled mercenaries and NPC characters all carry their revolvers fully loaded.

One of the unique mercenaries hirable in the game, "Tex", carries a pair of special SAAs with improved parameters with the name "Custom Six-Shooter". Although they have a unique inventory icon, their in-game model and texturing is identical to the default Peacemakers.

Browning Hi-Power

The Browning Hi-Power appears with the name "Hi-Power". It is a common early game handgun, equipped frequently by Legion goons and is a part of some hirable mercenaries starting loadouts. Chambered in "9mm", it strangely deals more damage per shot than any other 9mm firearm in the game, possibly due to naming magic (If it's called "Hi-Power", it's got to be "Highly Powerful", right?). It also erroneously holds 15 rounds in each magazine by default, though this could be explained by the incredibly chunky grip compared to the real-life firearm, perhaps hiding a double-stack magazine well. The base appearance of the pistol in-game features a strange long-barrel slide; this can be extended further if modified with the "Extended Barrel" or "Extended Gain-Twist Barrel" modification, if equipped with the "Short Barrel" or "Short Gain-Twist Barrel" the pistol resembles the real-life firearm.

Beretta 92F/FS

The Beretta 92F/FS appears in-game as "Beretta 92F" chambered in "9mm", though the gun depicted in-game is a hybrid of the 92F and FS models; it has a 92F style back strap but FS style 3-dot sights. It correctly holds 15 rounds in each magazine at base and although it does less damage per shot than the Hi-Power, it is more accurate and has higher critical hit chance.

Opposite side. Note the markings on the slide on this side are repeated from the frame markings on the previous side but the markings on the frame are different, reading "M9 - 3221347".

Glock 18C

The Glock 18C appears in-game as "Glock 18", chambered in "9mm". While it has the notable features of the actual Glock 18C; the compensator cuts on the slide and barrel, fire selector on the back of the left side of the slide, it bizarrely has Glock 22 markings on the slide, complete with the ".40" caliber notation. It holds only 15 rounds in each magazine, which is correct for a Glock 22 but not for the Glock 17 magazines the actual Glock 18 can feed from. Uniquely among other handguns in-game it can fire in full auto bursts of 4 rounds each or a larger number of rounds to suppress targets, and due to it being a one-handed firearm it may be dual-wielded.

Top of the pistol. Note the correct compensator cuts on the slide and barrel. Humorously the pistol can be modified with a suppressor/silenced despite the ported barrel rendering it moot.

Colt Ananconda

The Colt Anaconda appears in-game as just "Anaconda". Described by in-game flavour text as having "high reliability and stopping power shot after shot", it is chambered in ".44"; the same caliber as the Peacemaker, and functions as a direct upgrade. Can be fitted with a short barrel or a longer, extended barrel, along with a selection of sights and side attachments, though both sights and side attachments are mounted on the same point on the gun, allowing only one to be installed at a time.

Desert Eagle Mark XIX

The Desert Eagle Mark XIX appears in-game by the name "Desert Eagle". Featuring both railed frame and top barrel, it is chambered in ".44"; the flavour text for the handgun even explicitly states this with the words "the .44 barrel makes it more practical and affordable to shoot", although the barrel on the in-game model is marked ".50 AE". It is grossly erroneously depicted as having 15 cartridges of .44 Magnum in each magazine; the real-life .44 Magnum Desert Eagles only carry 8 without extensions. Humorously, and perhaps unbelievably, you can apply a barrel mod that rechambers it to .50 BMG. How a full-power anti-material cartridge fits into the handgun is unknown, but what's most unbelievable is the fact that this modification doesn't change the magazine size at all, giving you 15 rounds of .50 BMG somehow squeezed into that comparatively little grip. Functionally in-game it is the ultimate handgun type weapon, doing more damage per shot than the Anaconda while having significantly more ammo per reload.

In-game render of the "Desert Eagle". Note the "DESERT EAGLE PISTOL" and "MADE IN USA" markings on the slide identical to the real-life Desert Eagle Mark XIX save for the registered trademark symbol and the ".50" caliber marking even though this example is fitted with the .44 default barrel...
...and on the opposite side here we see markings on the slide stating "ONYX INDUSTRIES BELGRADE, SERBIA". Was the "MADE IN USA" part a lie? Also note the serial numbers above the grip "DK 00 19 1 45".
In-game render of the "Desert Eagle" fitted with the ".50 BMG Barrel" and an "Expanded Mag" for a whopping total of 23 rounds of .50 BMG contained in this now quite literal handcannon. You can put a suppressor/silencer on the gun in this configuration, though how a pistol suppressor/silencer would work with those ports on the barrel let alone with .50 BMG is anyone's guess.
