Urko Carbine (Short barrel version) - .22 LR

The Urko Carbine is a Brazilian rifle manufactured by Urko. It was meant to compete with the Remington Nylon 66 copies manufactured by Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos. The Urko was popular due to it's lower cost; althought it was rather unreliable. Some Urko carbines were sold to cash transport companies and law enforcement agencies; a short-barreled version with a folding stock was briefly offered (And later banned due to it's resemblance to

asubmachinegun). The Urko company closed in the 2000s due to stricter gun control laws.
